The Sacred Heart Medical Group is opening a new urgent care center at 4435 U.S. 90 in Pace on June 1.

It will provide walk-in medical care for minor illnesses and injuries 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., including limited hours on holidays. Onsite X-ray and laboratory will be available.

Sacred Heart’s Urgent Care team includes physicians who specialize in family and internal medicine, as well as a team of nurses, technicians and other staff members who will serve patients during the care process.

The new Urgent Care Center will share the same building with The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart’s Pediatric After-Hours. The clinic is open Monday through Friday 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

The clinic’s pediatric-trained staff is available to care for most non-life-threatening medical issues in children of all ages, including asthma, allergies, colds and flu, cuts, fever, rashes, sprains and much more.

The Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at the center at 9 a.m. on June 2.
