Saenger Theatre receives two industry top honors

The Saenger Theatre has been selected as a 2015 Prime Site Award winner by Facilities Magazine, an entertainment industry magazine for booking agents, promoters and talent buyers. The Saenger will be featured in a special section of the August issue of Facilities Magazine. “By winning a Prime Site Award,” said Michael Caffin, Assistant Publisher of Facilities Magazine, “it is obvious that your staff does a fine job of serving your clientele.” Prime Site Awards are based on the voting of those in the industry directly involved in site selection – booking agents, promoters and talent buyers. This is not the first time receiving this award from FacilitiesMagazine. The Saenger also received the Prime Site Award in 2014, 2007, 2006 and 2004. In addition to the Prime Site Award, the Saenger Theatre has been ranked No. 2 for the year in the state of Florida by industry publication Venues Today. The award encompasses the period of April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015 based on gross box office sales for venues 2,000 seats and under. Other facilities on the list are: No. 1, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota; Capitol Theatre, Clearwater; The Plaza Live, Orlando; and the Parker Playhouse, Fort Lauderdale.
