Veterans Day is a time to bring old and young people who served in the armed forces into sharp focus and to thank them for what they have done on our behalf. At Blue Angels Elementary School, teachers, students and staff made the recognitions an annual opportunity to invite military family members to school to reflect on Veterans Day while enjoying musical and dance performances.   They gathered in the school’s media center at tables covered with flags, pictures and thank you cards created by students. For those in attendance at Blue Angels Elementary School’s Take a Veteran to School Day last week, it serves as a reminder to take few moments to reflect on those who gave to their country’s service in the past and those who continue to give their service today. On Veterans Day, everyone should stop long enough to say, thank you for America’s freedom. IMG_9058
