Republican Gov. Rick Scott's campaign collected $250,352 in contributions from Sept. 6 to Sept. 12, bringing his overall total to $7.95 million, according to an updated finance report posted online Friday.

The campaign also spent $235,186 during the period on advertising and other costs and had spent a total of $2.2 million as of Sept. 12. Those numbers do not include tens of millions of dollars raised and spent by the "Let's Get to Work" political committee, which is an integral part of Scott's re-election bid.

The "Let's Get to Work" political committee sent $5.8 million to the Republican Party of Florida last week, according to a campaign-finance report filed Thursday.

In all, "Let's Get to Work,'' had raised a total of $37.9 million through last Friday, while spending nearly $33.2 million. Along with sending money to the GOP, the committee also has spent heavily on advertising to boost Scott and criticize Democratic challenger Charlie Crist.

Updated numbers for Crist had not been posted on the state Division of Elections website Friday morning.
