Seminar to raise funds for women in need of healthcare

Sacred Heart Senior Services is partnering with Mainstay Financial Group to present the Second Annual Day of Education, Enlightenment and Empowerment designed for women 55 and older. All net proceeds from the event will go to the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation to benefit women in need of healthcare. The women-only event will be held Saturday, March 28, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Hospital Conference Center in Pensacola. The emcee will be WEAR-TV anchor Sue Straughn, and the featured speaker will be Rita Craig, author of “"I Showed You So - Lessons from Mom about the Business of Life.”" Several local businesswomen also will present educational sessions, empowering women to better understand and manage their financial, legal and tax well-being, as well as their physical and mental health. Topics will include: living a balanced life, planning for the unexpected, financial peace of mind, and simple self-defense. Dr. Ann Payne-Johnson, a Sacred Heart Medical Group family medicine physician, will discuss a holistic approach to women’s health. Individual tickets for the day-long event are $60 in advance and $65 at the door. Participants may purchase tickets before the event at the Mainstay Financial office at 2810 E.
