Sheriff, assistant police chief talk race relations at Tiger Bay Club

The Panhandle TigerBay Club will host Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan, Assistant Police Chief David Alexander and The Rev. LuTimothy May to discuss the relationship between local law enforcement and the African-American community.

The June 19 luncheon at New World Landing will examine the issue of law enforcement and race relations in the context of recent events in Ferguson and Baltimore, as well as consider how the issue of race and law enforcement relations impacts our local area.

The goal of the event is to gain insight into the different perspectives of this challenging issue and how to address it as individuals and leaders in our community.

Reservations are due by June 17. Cost is $35 for guests. Submit questions in advance  to [email protected] by June 17.
