Studers close on ECUA property

The sale of the former site of the Main Street Wastewater treatment plant in downtown Pensacola closed today. The Pensacola News Journal reports that the $5.2 million deal between the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority and Quint and Rishy Studer closed today. It was first approved by ECUA board members in November.
Studer did not reveal any long-term future plans for the property. "We have some ideas, but we just want to make sure we don't rush into anything," he said. "Our goal is to put it to use. We want kids playing on it and adults exercising on it."
