Symphony 'Celebrates the New Year!'

Come Celebrate the New Year! in style with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Saenger Theatre in downtown Pensacola. The PSO, conducted by Maestro Peter Rubardt, will perform a wide array of music including classics from Tchaikovsky and Strauss as well as music of the Big Band Era, as well as Broadway and Hollywood favorites from Chicago, Candide, and the perennial favorite, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from the Wizard of Oz. The featured soloist for the evening is violinist Lindsay Deutsch. She will perform a Fantasia on Gershwin’s music from Porgy and Bess and a finale from Vivaldi’s Summer and Massenet’s beautiful, “Meditation,” from Thais. Tickets start at $22.
