Tampa firm buys Eastgate Plaza for nearly $9 million

A Tampa-based real estate investment firm paid $8.95 million for a shopping plaza on Creighton Road at North Ninth Avenue. The Tampa Business Journal reports the purchase of Eastgate Plaza by Validus Group today.
"Eastgate Plaza is anchored by a Winn-Dixie, Powerhouse Gym, ITT Technical Institute and Guitar Center. More than $3 million was recently invested in the property, and Validus plans to invest more, said David Brightwell, vice president of business development."
