Pensacola native Trent Richardson will have to find a new team if he plans to continue his professional football career. The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have released the former Escambia High School standout running back after two less-than stellar seasons. Richardson told ESPN that he expects to make a quick comeback and become an elite running back in the National Football League. “I’ll be one of the top running backs from here on out,” Richardson said. They ruled Marshawn Lynch off in his third year. Look at what he’s doing now. My next stop, I’ll be the starter. I still have pride, and I know who I am.” Read more about Trent Richardson at ESPN.com here.
